As a minimum, any phlebotomy program that you are considering should provide no less than 40 hours of classroom training (the majority require 120) and 120 hours of clinical training. Anything less than these minimums may indicate that the program is not expansive enough to offer adequate training.

As an added benefit, internships can assist students establish contacts within the local Lake Crystal MN healthcare community. And they are a plus on resumes also.

Are Class Times Conveniently Scheduled? And last, it’s crucial to verify that the ultimate school you choose offers classes at times that will accommodate your hectic lifestyle. This is particularly true if you choose to still work while attending college. If you can only go to classes at night or on weekends near Lake Crystal MN, check that they are offered at those times. Also, if you can only attend on a part-time basis, make sure it is an option also. And if you have decided to attend online, with the practical training requirement, make sure those hours can also be fulfilled within your schedule. And ask what the make-up protocol is should you need to miss any classes as a result of emergencies or illness.
